On behalf of the ACORN Residents Association incor-porating little ACORNs and the Woodham Burn Neighbourhood Watch I would like to thank all residents in Newton Aycliffe and beyond who have contributed to the success of our organisation.
From Raffle prizes donated by local businesses and residents, Neighbourhood Police Beat team, County Councillors Eddy Adam and Kate Hopper, Town Councillors Arun Chandran, George Gray, Chris Wheeler, Dan Summers, Paul Kjenstad and Tom Twizzell. We recognise your help makes us the unique group we are.
Local tour bus company J&C Coaches and their staff have liaised with tour committee Christine Thompson and Leanne Robinson to provide our members and their families with some legendary trips to venues across the north enjoyed by all.
Over the course of the year we held the Halloween Party and the brilliant Easter Petting Zoo event in our leisure centre to the delight of all.
West Park hosted the great ACORN Easter Egg Hunt and Egg and Spoon challenge, whilst the summer events in August on Christopher Walk Green featured KL ponies, inflatables and fun rides hosted by Professor Nincompoop and Harry Potty, Fun and games for the whole community and a fantastic display from our cheerleading friends Nemessis.
The next ACORN and little ACORNS meeting will be held at the British Legion Club on Thursday 8th January with little ACORNS at 5.30pm and the main group at 6pm.
