Lucas Park (8) has been listening to all that is going on in the Ukraine and came up with the idea, with his friend from school, of making up and selling sweets. Using his birthday money he bought supplies and with the help of his little brother Theo (5) and of course mammy, they spent the weekend bagging up, boxing and delivering sweets to family, friends and neighbours.
By Sunday night they had raised £230 with more orders coming in. All of the money raised is going to be sent to the Red Cross for people in the Ukraine. Thank you to all who have ordered and donated towards Lucas and Theo’s fundraising.
I am so proud of my nephews for their thoughtful efforts.
