Cafe HQ would like to give something back to our community this coming Christmas time and are pleased to announce that we will be opening our doors to our community, to serve our elderly and vulnerable on Christmas Day and it will be non-profit.
Already we have had donations from Community Spirit and generous donations from Tesco. However, we need to gauge interest to ascertain if any further residents and businesses would be available and willing to support and volunteer.
A donation tree is set up for all customers to do their bit by pledging a small or large amount to assist in paying for an individuals set dinner.
In the past, Cafe HQ’s owner has given time feeding the homeless on Christmas Day, so it would be a privilege to help my adopted town of Newton Aycliffe and the lonely and elderly residents. Our kitchen will be open anyway, preparing and cooking our popular delivery Christmas Fayre with our hard working kitchen team during this time.
To cover the cost of ingredients, staffing and utilities there would be a minimal charge for the set menu:
Starter: Winter Broth
Main: Turkey with all the Trimmings
Dessert: Christmas Pudding or Trifle
One Main Course £9.95
Two Course £12.95
Three Course £14:95
Mince Pies with Coffee and Mints
If you are a business, a volunteer who can help, or have found yourself alone and want company, a chat, good food and would like to take advantage of this offer to book, please contact Cafe HQ on 01325 808055 (limited spaces available).
