Ebac Holdings Limited, the parent company of the Ebac Group, has been recognised as one of the ‘fastest-growing and most dynamic businesses’ in the UK.
The company is named in the landmark business report ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’. The London Stock Exchange has identified 1,000 of the UK’s most notable small and medium-sized enterprises for the publication.
Ebac, already an established manufacturer of dehumidifiers and water coolers, aims to double its 200-strong workforce as it expands its product range, having started producing Norfrost Chest Freezers at its premises in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham. Ebac will become the UK’s only manufacturer of washing machines in the next few months, having invested £7million and many years of research and development into the new products.
‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ is an annual celebration of some of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK. As well as identifying 1,000 companies, the annual report examines in detail the opportunities and challenges facing SMEs and looks at the sectors and trends that will shape the future of the UK economy.
Pamela Petty, managing director of Ebac, said: “As an innovative and forward-thinking business it is very satisfying to be recognised in this way.
“Ebac has ambitious growth plans and the move into chest freezers and washing machines demonstrates our commitment to British manufacturing and the contribution it makes to both the regional and national economy.”
