Adults can improve their English and maths skills with a series of free courses. Sessions, run by Durham County Council, taking place at community centres, children’s centres and libraries across the county throughout the year.
Improving your reading, writing and numeracy skills can make a big difference when you are filling in forms and writing letters or helping your children with their homework.
It can also improve your job prospects and help you access other learning opportunities.
People who sign up to the free courses will work towards a nationally recognised qualification. For more information, contact the council’s Adult Learning and Skills Service on 03000 266 115 or email alss@durham.gov.uk
