Sedgefield Mens team travelled to the Armley Centre, Leeds, for their first Mens Division 1 Wakefield & District League match of 2023. The team ranged in age from 13-24 years, with Aston (age 13) making his debut in goal since the regular goalkeeper was unavailable to play.
The match was fast paced and very closely contested, with the lead changing frequently throughout the game. John Pratt was the team’s top goalscorer with a fantastic nine goals! In the end, Sedgefield’s fitness and teamwork helped them to a very well deserved 22-19 win.
In addition to Junior and Senior sessions, Sedgefield Water Polo Club now offers a beginner session on a Saturday afternoon for those wishing to try this fun and exciting sport. All sessions need to be booked in advance, so please check our website for further information and joining instructions.
