Sedgefield Water Polo Club presented the Player of the Year awards for 2012. Niall Coulthard (9) was voted the best newcomer after making tremendous progress with his hard work since he joined the club. Niall is a great prospect for the future.
Emily Pilkington (13) won the the Under 14 award after being invited to join the GB Under 16 squad at such a young age and making her debut in the National League at only 13.
The Under 16 award went to Ben Turnbull (14) who is a member of the GB Under 15 squad and has impressed a lot of people with his goal threat.
The Under 18 award went to Adam Woods (17) who after a number of setbacks due to injury has showed great determination and hard work in getting into the GB junior squad.
The overall player of the year is Rhiannon Foulds (16) who played for Wales this year with distinction and has been picked for the GB youth team for a tournament in Holland in February.
