Aycliffe Market has been suspended but the Thames Centre Landlord has taken a positive move by creating a mini indoor market which is proving popular and is adding something special to the town centre shopping experience.
The Town Centre landlords Freshwaters, however, are less interested in bringing a speedy resolution to whether the town has a market. Newton News suggested they provide an Indoor Market in one of the many large empty units in the town centre, but that fell on deaf ears as did the request for them to make a comment on the current situation.
