Last Friday, in partnership with The Big Club, Rotary Newton Aycliffe held an Elvis Tribute night, starring Eddy Popescu as Elvis and supported by Starlight Disco.
Rotary hoped to raise money for its charitable work and were overwhelmed by the generosity shown by the people who came along, bought raffle tickets and generally had a good time.
An amount in excess of £500 was raised and our thanks go to Newton Press and the management of The Big Club. Many thanks also to the Eden Arms, Homeplan, Tesco and Walkers Butchers who all donated vouchers for the raffle.
