To celebrate Newton Aycliffe’s 75th birthday, the children and their families at St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School have been working hard to capture the beauty of our local landscape by taking photographs of the plants and wildlife in our surrounding areas.
The images were entered into the school’s competition in which the winning photographs would be displayed in the council offices. The school held an art gallery on Friday 30th June for all to view the beautiful pieces submitted.
The Mayor and Mayoress kindly visited the school on Monday 3rd July to view the wonderful artwork and to judge the competition. A massive thank you to the Mayor and Mayoress for joining us and the council for their continued community support. It was a great event for the children to explore the local community.
