On Tuesday, 13th June, several schools from around County Durham were invited to take part in the first St. Francis’ Cup. The aim of the afternoon was simple, to try our best, make new friends and, most importantly, have fun!
The weather was extremely hot, but after lots of challenging matches, St. Francis’ Junior School were crowned the winning team. Well done to all those who participated. We had an absolutely fantastic time and it was amazing to come together with other local schools.
We can’t wait to do it again next year and show what St. Francis is about. Our referees Jensen, Phoebe, Bruno, Oliver and Harley showed great leadership skills as well as supporting the younger children who needed help. We all had so much fun and you were all amazing role models and worked well as a team.
Thank you to Miss Fahey for arranging the event, we all appreciate your hard work.
