Whoever said you shouldn’t work with children and animals?
Obviously they weren’t at the ROC Family Support Easter Party!
The event, which took place on the Wednesday 12th April included an array of friendly farm animals such as lambs, rabbits, goats and a sheep, but also included special meet and greets with Peppa Pig a Minion and the Easter Bunny.
Debbie Latue, Manager at ROC Family Support, said “the event was an excellent way to get the children and young people together to engage and socialise whilst celebrating Easter. It was fantastic to see our young people engaging with animals and activities. They absolutely loved every minute of it.”
The event was attended by almost 30 young people, including young people from other services of ROC Group including ROC Family Support Network, ROC Homes and also our Charity, ROC Solid.
Jaycie Latue, Support Worker, organised the exciting event which comprised of time with the farm animals from Animals About Town, and special guests, including Peppa Pig.
Aside from providing incredible parties, ROC Family Support focuses on providing supervised family time for local authorities and families going through mediation. The organisation has a team of well-trained staff who often go above and beyond for the young people they provide support for.
Manager, Debbie, spoke about the success of the event and the possibility it could be an annual occurrence, “even the rain didn’t put us off. Thank you to everyone who came along.”
To end an excellent afternoon, Debbie and the team were donated £100 by Brian Nichol for all of the amazing work they do.
