Greenfield Arts have been thrilled with the level of interest in their first online exhibition. Made at Home is a new venture, inviting artists and individuals to submit artwork that has been made during recent times.

Over forty artists have contributed to the exhibition and it has attracted local, national and global interest, even featuring work from Australia and the USA! There is a wide range of medium including painting, drawing, photography, textiles, collage and mixed media pieces. Many pieces ‘made at home’ reflect recent times and draw upon inspiration from time spent at home. The exhibition celebrates the way in which the arts, making and creating, can allow us to explore, be creative and express ourselves.

Greenfield Arts began the call out for the exhibition by commissioning three artists who created inspirational videos about them and their work. It was a fascinating insight into the processes and thinking behind the artist’s process, provoking curiosity and creativity.

The final part of the Made at Home programme will see an artist response to the way in which arts and creativity have been of benefit to many, particularly recently, and a new artwork will be created and displayed at Greenfield Arts, Arts Centre facility.

The final art work will be on display in the arts centre when it reopens during the Autumn season. The Made at Home exhibition is available online from Monday 10 August and runs until Friday 21 August. You can view the range of artwork via our website, just visit www.greenfield-arts.co.uk
