Dear Sir,
I read with interest, and a little bemusement, at the anonymous correspondent on page 9 of Newton News issue dated 22nd October, re the £70 charge they received in the Aldi car park.
They said, and I quote, “One hour really isn’t enough” and that they’d been charged for overstaying by ONE minute.
The time allowed for parking in Aldi is actually 40 minutes and is clearly stated on any of the six large signs in the car park.
The disgruntled shopper, looking at their own statement, actually overstayed by 21 minutes.
