Mikey Hogarth from ‘MMA All Out’ in Newton Aycliffe, defended his title at the Total Combat Show on Saturday 12th July at Spennymoor Leisure Centre with a truly powerful performance.
Mikey trained hard introducing the worldwide strength and conditioning programme ‘CrossFit’ into his regime which improved his strength and fitness massively and it showed in his performance on Saturday night.
Mikey confidently dominated his opponent, a karate expert, on the ground and won the fight by TKO in the first round.  Mikey was well supported by friends and family, as well as members from CrossFit All Out where he trains and delivers his own MMA sessions.
Tez Anderson, owner of CrossFit and Thai-boxing British Title holder said “Mikey deserved to take the title and his sheer commitment, drive and determination over the past 10 years along with a recent MMA training trip to Thailand and his increased strength and fitness from CrossFit, has made him an even stronger fighter. We are excited to see where MMA All Out can take new, up and coming fighters with Mikey’s coaching skills, knowledge and experience.
CrossFit All Out opened in January this year and has gone from strength to strength with weekly Yoga sessions and new ‘Teens All Out’ sessions over the summer holidays for 13-16 year olds, as well as community and charity events.
