The Youth Centre was pleasantly surprised by the number of phone calls recently after advising Newton News readers there would be a Level 2 Emergency First Aid in the Workplace Course at the Centre.
The Centre is now looking to run a Health and Safety and a Food Safety Course. The courses are run in conjunction with Newton Aycliffe Learning Partnership and Bishop Auckland College.
Vince Crosby Chairman of the Management Committee said “I was thrilled to see that so many people are still keen to learn. The switchboard at the centre was red hot and we have created a waiting list in preparation of the next Emergency First Aid at work Course we can organise.
Certainly for those who are currently seeking employment having such courses as First Aid at work, Food Safety and Health and Safety on your C.V. is nothing but helpful and may be the one thing that will make them stand out from other applicants”.
