Sedgefield MP, Paul Howell, has agreed to take part in Aycliffe Radio’s feature ‘A day in the life of…’, Paul will be a guest on the stations Around Town show to discuss a typical day in the life of a Member of Parliament and answer listeners’ questions as to the role an MP plays and the balance between his work in his constituency and time spent travelling to and from his Westminster office.
We know MP’s exist but very few people truly understand the responsibilities that go with the job, and even less understand or appreciate the work involved on a day to day basis and the commitment required to fulfil his duties as our local MP.
Around Town’s ‘A day in the life of an MP’ is providing listeners with the opportunity to ask their MP questions they would like answers to, as a way of better understanding what an MP does on a daily basis, their relationship with their constituents and the working environment in the corridors of power in the Houses of Parliament.
If you would like to contribute to the show you can submit a question for Paul, if it’s selected, and time allows, it will be read out on air for Paul to answer. Questions for the Around Town’s ‘A day in the life of an MP’ can be sent to info@ayclifferadio.co.uk for the attention of Phillip Hawkins and details of the shows broadcast date will be posted on the shows Facebook page in due course.
