The Wellbeing for Life service is offering people aged 16 and over the chance to do more physical activity, improve their food choices and reduce the weekly cost of family meals!
Each activity is free and runs for 8 weeks. Healthy Cooking on a budget – Starts 8th September 2015, 1:00pm – 3:00pm
An interactive session which will involve cooking a different family meal each week using fresh ingredients to help show that healthy eating is not as difficult or expensive as you may think.
Low Intensity Exercise – Starts 9th September 2015, 3:30pm – 4:30pm
A gentle class for those that would like to start activity to increase their fitness levels.
Buggy Walk/Fitness – Starts 10th September 2015, 9:30am – 10:30am
A walking group starting at the PCP aimed at increasing activity for parents that may find it difficult to be active whilst looking after their children.
There will also be the opportunity to get extra support on a 1-1 basis from the Wellbeing for Life Health Trainers. Health Trainers can support you and your community to improve your wellbeing, signposting you to other local services where necessary. They can help you to: Eat more healthily, Be more active, Give up smoking, Drink less alcohol, Meet new people, Learn new skills, Learn to cook
