Darlington Football Club have arranged two more Soccer Camps for the Easter holidays.

Their first camp, held during the February half term break, was a big success and the youngsters thoroughly enjoyed the visits of star striker Stephen Thompson and manager Tommy Wright, as well as receiving some top quality coaching.

Everyone thought that the cost of £12 per day was very good value, and it will be the same price for the two forthcoming camps, which are between 8th and 12th April, then 15th and 19th April. Details are available from Liam Coates on 07903 614570.

Meanwhile, Quakers have signed Omar Holness, a Jamaican international.

Forward Holness, 25, has been capped twice for his country, and has been playing for Real Salt Lake and Bethlehem Steel in Major League Soccer in the States.

He’s been joined in the dressing room by two lads from the Academy at Premier League club Huddersfield. Striker Kit Elliott has been on the books of Chelsea and Crystal Palace, while defender Ben Jackson joined Huddersfield four years ago.

All of them will be in the Darlington squad for Quakers’ next game, at Nuneaton on Saturday.

Quakers’ home game against Chester was postponed last Saturday because of a waterlogged pitch, and has been re-arranged for next Wednesday 27th March kick off 7.45pm
