On Sunday 20th November, 6 members of CrossFit All Out competed at Middlesbrough Sports Village at The Castle Games ‘Send Them In’ competition. This team consisted of 3 females (Becky Auton, Courtnie Mills and Jade Armstrong), and 3 males (Matthew Taylor, Paul Hilder and Peter Todd). The day involved 9 events, with teams deciding who was suited best to each individual event.
Events included handstand walks and other gymnastic movements, heavy sandbag cleans, a 4 x 400m relay run, 3000m row for time, snatch ladder and a burpee sprint eliminator. This team participated in the RX (top) category, bagging themselves a top 10 finish overall out of 20 teams. They had a best place finish of 4th on the day, whereby Jade and Peter took on the handstand walks and other gymnastics event.
Coach and team member Courtnie said, “A brilliant day with everyone. I couldn’t be prouder of how we performed as a team. We laughed from start to finish, with everyone putting in their best efforts. Despite an injury for Peter in the sprint event he soldiered on, and to finish top ten overall was a bonus for us.”
