On Wednesday 3rd August Woodham Burn Out of School Club had another fantastic trip to Toby Carvery. On arrival all the children were given paper chef’s hats which they could decorate with their favourite fruit and vegetables and wear throughout the visit. Our host Craig taught us lots about the importance of having our 5 a day and how fruit and vegetables keep us healthy. We played a fun food tasting game where two children, dressed up in chef whites, fed five lots of fruit and vegetables to other blind folded children who had to guess what it was. The children thoroughly enjoyed this game, along with a very informative quiz which taught everyone lots of fun facts about fruit and vegetables. Finally, we were shown how the chefs carved the meats and which vegetables were on offer, before tucking in to an exceptionally tasty carvery – with a minimum of two vegetables. Special thanks to Craig and all the staff at Toby Carvery for such a fun- filled visit, we can’t wait for the next!
