No games this week for 4 of our teams, but it was cup week for a few others.
Waldridge Park 1 v 5 Under 13 Boys County Cup game that was very tight despite the score line. Two first-half goals from Evan & Charlie gave the lads the lead at HT. Massive efforts in defence & midfield built the platform for further goals from Charlie, Evan & Posi. Waldridge scored a well-deserved consolation. On to the County Cup Main Draw. MOM Josh & Jacob S.
U9 Eagles v Leven The boys were up against a very strong division one side in the first round of the TJFA cup. Eagles took the lead. Harry M pulled off a string of fantastic saves to keep Eagles in the game. The lads battled really hard but were beaten by a very good side.
U12 Eagles 2 v 3 Acklam A very physical game today in the first round of the TJFA cup. Aycliffe dealt with this really well though and were unlucky to lose. Goals today came from a Carter free kick and Aiden with a solo run and shot. MOM Evan.
Despite great efforts from our U9 Wildcats and U10 Eagles both ended up coming home empty handed from their respective central venues in the Russell Foster League.
Three excellent results for all our u13 girls & u14 girls as well as our u14 boys.
U13 Girls 3 v 2 Foundation of Light The girls started the match very brightly, Amy scoring in 10 mins, however, Aycliffe conceded just before half time. Then, against the run of play, conceded again after half time. With 10 minutes left to play the girls rallied and Amy scored twice to take the pts and their first victory of the season. Pools Youth Blue 0 v 3 U13 Angels The Angels put on a strong show in tough rainy conditions but couldn’t find the breakthrough, HT 0-0. The girls were defensively solid throughout and got 3 deserved goals in the second half. Romilly 2 and Isobel.

Felling Magpies 3 v 11 U14 Girls With only 11 players available and players carrying slight knocks, this was going to be a tough game but every single player gave their all. The girls controlled the game from start to finish. Incredible team goals and a massive positive boost for these girls. Communication, passion and drive were there from the first whistle and this continued throughout.
U14 Girls (Sunday) 4 v 0 South Shields FC Foundation A well contested match which saw Aycliffe come out on top. A tight defensive performance meant a clean sheet for the coaches star player, Layken. Further up the pitch we created good chances and new player, Evie, passed the ball around well and got players star player.

U14 Eagles 2 v 0 Deerness Valley Storm Playing against a very good side Aycliffe were up against it, as Deerness attacked in numbers. Our defence made some crucial tackles in the first half with Liam having to clear a shot off the line. Aycliffe however, managed to find the back of the net twice through Adam and Olly to win the game. MOM Liam.
U16 Girls 3 v 2 Bishop Auckland After 15 minutes the ball was fed to Mia to calmly tuck away but the visitors equalised before HT. Ten mins into the second half and Bishop took the lead before a great equaliser from Sophie McClean. The weather closed in but the team fought hard and went ahead after a great shot from 18 yds by Ebony to take the pts.
U18 Boys 3 v 2 Prudhoe It was level at half time at 0-0. Into the second half and, out of nowhere, Aycliffe found themselves 1-0 up after a great 30 yard strike from Mark Isigoma. However, Prudhoe scored 2 quick fire goals to put themselves ahead. Aycliffe made some changes and a brilliant strike from Calum Whitfield made it 2-2. Into the last 5 minutes and Calum linked with Tyler Bowater to win the game for Aycliffe.
