Aycliffe U8 Eagles v Whitby
The lads got off to the perfect start with an early goal but Whitby equalised just before half time. The second half saw Aycliffe take the lead but Whitby never gave up and the game ended with honours even.
Aycliffe U8 Wildcats v Belmont
Classic game of two halves with Belmont dominating the first half and the Wildcats being the better team in the second.
Aycliffe U9 Eagles
Late cancellation for the game v Durham United that left the boys with a blank Saturday.
Primrose Hill v Aycliffe U10 Eagles
Slow start for the boys after 3 weeks without a game. A goal from Aycliffe and then a penalty allowed Primrose Hill back into the game. However, the boys then dominated the game to the end to finish up with a very impressive win. MOM Faris.
Aycliffe U10 Wildcats v CLS Diablos
CLS are one of the best 2 teams at our age group, so it was always going to be tough. However, the girls defended very well but a goal in each half for CLS proved to be the difference between the teams.
Aycliffe U11 Eagles
A free weekend, but the lads were still keen to have a training session to prepare for the final few games of the season.
Bishop Auckland v Aycliffe U11 Girls
The final score didn’t reflect what was an evenly matched game. Both teams were creating numerous chances but Aycliffe seemed to lack a bit of luck in front of goal, whilst Bishop converted their chances.
Aycliffe U12 Eagles 3 v Leven Whites 2
A close first half that was edged by the visitors as they went into the break with a goal advantage. Leven then increased their lead early in the 2nd half, but a brilliant reaction from Aycliffe who scored 3 times to win the game and take the points.
Aycliffe U12 Angels Blue 7 v Washington United 0
The girls played some of their best football in months and produced an excellent team performance to take a deserved win. Players POTM Sara, Coaches POTM Freyja
Aycliffe U12 Angels Yellow 1 v Beamish Lionesses 8
With 2 players making their debuts, it was Aycliffe who started strongest and opened the scoring but the opposition proved too strong. This will be the toughest match of the league Shield and we will take the positives into next week. POTM Payton.
Aycliffe U13 Eagles
Weekend off for the Eagles but they used the spare Saturday for a great fun training session.
Aycliffe U13 Girls 5 v Leam Rangers 5
An end-to-end game with an even first half that saw the visitors lead 2-1. Plenty of goals in the 2nd half with the girls taking the lead but with seconds left Leam, equalised. POTM Bailey.
Dalton Park 6 v Aycliffe U14 Falcons 2
Tough game for the Falcons but they battled right to the end in what was a good performance, if not the result.
Aycliffe U15 Eagles 0 v Boro Rangers 3
Cup Semi Final for the boys against a team 3 divisions above but for long periods of the first half it didn’t show as the boys matched the visitors in every position, however a great free kick gave Boro the lead. The second half was even, then Aycliffe had a 15 minutes period of sustained pressure but couldn’t get past their keeper. The visitors then scored a breakaway goal and converted a penalty to march to the final where we wish them good luck.
Aycliffe U15 Girls 2 v Ouston Jnrs 2
A strong first half from the girls as they played some great football and went into the break leading 2-0. However, despite a lot of pressure from Aycliffe, the opposition scored twice to share the points.
Aycliffe U16 Eagles 2 v Darlington Young Bulls 3
A very close game as the visitors led 1-0 at half time. The second half could have go either way but Darlington scored the decisive goal to take the points.
Norton & Stockton 4 v Aycliffe U17 Falcons 1
A disappointing display from the lads with the only goal for Aycliffe scored by Toby Seymour.
Aycliffe U18 Girls 3 v Northallerton 5
Second game of the league shield started brightly for Aycliffe but they failed to take their early chances and it was the visitors who scored first from a corner. Aycliffe then scored twice before Northallerton equalised on the stroke of half time. A tight second half but the visitors took their chances and took the points.
Adults: South Moor 0 v Aycliffe U23’s 5
Back to the league this week and the lads still have a chance to finish runners up. The first half was virtually all Aycliffe and the lads finished the half 2-0 up. A further 3 goals without reply and the points were brought home.
Aycliffe Women: Week off as they prepare for their cup campaign.
