The laughs are guaranteed at Gala Theatre this month with a gaggle of comedians lined up to take the mic.

Fred MacAulay brings his latest one-man show, which he performed to sell-out crowds at the Edinburgh Festival, to Gala on Sunday, 16 September.

A long-time compere at London’s Comedy Store, Fred is a regular panellist on Have I Got News For You, QI, Mock the Week and Radio 4’s News Quiz.

Scottish stand-up Danny Bhoy explains how he became a man of letters when he visits Gala on Wednesday, 19 September.

A few years ago, wrote to the makers of Monster Munch and successfully secured the return of roast beef flavour snacks. This show revolves around a handful of other letters he penned out of frustration.

It’s about those little annoyances that are too frivolous to be a cause, too inconsequential to be a campaign but are frustrating enough to be worth putting pen to paper.

The Brig Society, on Thursday, 27 September, finds award-winning comic Marcus Brigstocke contemplating David Cameron’s similarly named project.

Another panel show regular, Marcus he has also appeared in a number of films and TV shows including Richard Curtis’ Love Actually and is also presenter of the BBC’s I’ve Never Seen Star Wars.

Describing herself as Britain’s first ‘wobbly’ comedian, Francesca Martinez, who has mild cerebral palsy, talks about what happens when you’re branded ‘abnormal’ in a world obsessed with normality during her show on Saturday, 29 September.

She shares her life-changing journey of growing up, being rescued from high school hell by Grange Hill and letting Ricky Gervais mock her in Extras.
