Hannah Featherstone competed in the Scottish National Championships held in Glasgow week ending the 14th April 2013. She won gold medals in the 100 and 200 meters FS and the 200 meters Backstroke.

In the 200 meters Individual Medley Hannah took the bronze medal and was placed fourth in the 100 meters Backstroke. A truly outstanding performance and the first time any one from the club has won three gold’s at a National Championship. The results should stand her in good stead, as she is being considered for a place in the GB Team to compete in the European Junior Olympics to be held in Holland later in the year.

The Northumberland and Durham Championships were held at the Sunderland Aquatic Centre. Philip Hodgson won gold in the Open 100 meters Freestyle and was fourth in the 200 meters Freestyle. Philip Walker was fourth in the Open 100 meters Backstroke and seventh in the 100 meters Breaststroke.

Claudia Chapmen competing in the 11 years age group, won the Bronze medal in the 50 meters Breaststroke.

Hannah Featherstone competing in the fourteen year age group won gold in the 200 meters Backstroke, 200 FS and the 100 meters FS taking bronze in the 100 meters Fly.

Australian National Masters Championships: Caroline Saxby competed in eight events setting six new National Records. Everyone in the club sends their congratulations and best wishes to Caroline.
