A young Ice Hockey player has won a national competition to win a year’s supply of ice hockey equipment from manufacturer Sher-Wood.  Finley Bradon, aged 8, from School Aycliffe, won the sponsorship for this current season after an online vote run by leading Ice Hockey Equipment supplier, Nekoti.co.uk.
The competition was open to ice hockey players, adult and juniors alike. Nearly 200 players from across the United Kingdom entered and over 9,000 votes were cast. The competition saw Finley not only receive votes from family and friends locally but also from across the globe.
Finley plays his Ice Hockey for the Billingham Stars for the Under 10 and Under 12 teams.  He has been playing for three years and started at the ‘Learn to play Ice Hockey’ sessions which are held every Sunday afternoon 4.15pm to 5.30pm at the Forum Ice Rink, Billingham.  Tel 01642 551381.  Ice Hockey equipment is available to hire for the session for a small charge.
Finley becomes a ‘Sher-wood Ambassador’ for the 2014/15 will receive his sponsorship package later this month.
