After last year’s cancellation due to heavy rain, Sugar Hill primary school held its annual Sports Day recently. The event was attended by a huge number of parents, grandparents and other family, and the staff want to thank all those who came along for providing excellent support to their children and to the school. Children took part in numerous events around the field, including basketball, hockey, sprint relay and the always hotly-anticipated final event which is the Year 6 Tug’o’War. Contested between the ‘colour councils’, the event is always taken very seriously by the children.
After several close battles in the qualifying tournament and a thrilling final, the ‘Pinks’ team came out on top. Well done to all the children and staff, who thoroughly enjoyed the day and gave their all in making Sports Day a brilliant event!
