Charity thanks staff with celebration event.
Staff from the Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) were given the royal treatment for an afternoon to say thank you and celebrate fantastic work taking place across the North East.
Following a year of resilience from staff, the Celebration Event hosted by PCP took place at its Head Quarters, the Pioneering Care Centre in Newton Aycliffe, where many staff got the opportunity to meet face to face for the first time and enjoy festivities.
Carol Gaskarth, Chief Executive of PCP, said: “We have staff working on health and wellbeing projects throughout County Durham, Tees Valley and Sunderland, so we took the opportunity to bring everyone together in a safe environment to say thank you for all they do.
“We promote and support communities to improve their health and wellbeing through our projects and services, but we also encourage our staff to focus on their health and wellbeing, and this includes taking time for them.
“We give our staff two hours of ‘wellbeing time’ a week, or pro rata for part time staff, where they can leave work to focus on their wellbeing and what makes them happy.
“The Celebration Event was offered in addition to this, as we couldn’t thank our staff enough for all that they do.”
Health and wellbeing charity, PCP, went all out to ensure the event was one to remember, with individual afternoon teas, wellbeing themed goody bags, refreshments on arrival, all presented in a PCP dressed marquee in the Pioneering Care Centre’s Community Garden.
PCP staff, from projects including the Stockton on Tees COVID Community Champions, Stockton on Tees Community Social Prescribing Service, Step Forward Tees Valley, Healthwatch South Tees, Healthwatch Stockton on Tees, Healthwatch County Durham, Healthwatch Sunderland, County Durham COVID Resilience Service, Wellbeing for Life, Joining the Dots, Workplace Health, Cancer Awareness, Safe Haven, Options, Together 21 and PCP centre services, were in attendance, making the afternoon a true celebration of North East community work.
