Hi! I’m Abi Hill your new PCSO for the Western area in Newton Aycliffe supporting PCSO Chris O’Brien and PC Mike Welch. I have previously been a PCSO for 4 years in Bishop Auckland where I covered Woodhouse Close Estate. For the last year I have been a Community Cohesion Officer covering Bishop Auckland, Barnard Castle and The Dales. In this role I supported victims of Hate Crime, taught Junior Education in local primary schools, and signed people up to the Herbert Protocol amongst many other things. I have also previously served as a Special Constable whilst studying for a Criminology degree in Nottingham. When I’m not at work I enjoy walking my 3 dogs and I’m also studying dog grooming at college! I am really looking forward to working in Newton Aycliffe and can’t wait to help you out if you have any issues.
Hi everyone, I’m PCSO Steve Kipling and I will be covering the Woodham and Middridge area supporting PC Towler. I’ve previously worked in the pub trade for four years and have also been a Delivery Driver for three years prior to joining Durham Constabulary. I want to make a difference in the community, that’s why I wanted to join. I’m delighted to join such a great team here at Aycliffe, and I’m already really enjoying my time working here.
I’m a massive football fan, and outside of work I enjoy going to watch the town where I grew up in play, Aycliffe’s derby rivals, Bishop Auckland! My main team is Newcastle United – unfortunately!
