The second in Bishop Auckland Music Society’s 2021 Concert Series will take place on Friday, 16th July at 7.30pm in the Methodist Church (opposite the hospital), when Tim Posner (cello), accompanied by Joseph Havlat (piano), will perform work by Schumann, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Mendelssohn.

Tim Posner began playing the cello at eight years old and gave his debut concert performance at fourteen. Since then he has performed as soloist with renowned orchestras including The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and NDR Radiophilharmonie. He performs with the London Mozart Players and in various ensembles as a chamber musician. As principal cellist, Tim has performed with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and as guest cellist in the Chamber Orchestra of Europe.

Joseph Havlat studied at The Royal Academy of Music in London. He is currently a Young Artist at St. John’s Smith Square and in 2019 was made Young Artist of the Oxford Lieder Festival. Aside from work as a soloist, Joseph is also a keen chamber musician, performing regularly with his clarinet trio, The Tritium Trio.
