Hi, my name is Sally Symons and I have been a resident of Newton Aycliffe for 12 years and care deeply about my fellow Newtonians. I have previous experience as a town councillor on Great Aycliffe Town Council, from 2016 to 2020, working hard for my constituents in Woodham Ward. Due to personal circumstances, I unfortunately had to stand down but am now able to resume the role. I have no political allegiance and only wish to serve my town to the best of my ability. I believe that I am well known to members of my community as a carer and a caring person, I have worked as a carer in and around Newton Aycliffe and now work in a nursing home in Woodham.
