Last week Greenfield Arts were pleased to host a performance of “Cuddy and His Mates” for students of local primary schools. Greenfield Arts raised the funding for the show which explored the childhood lives of  Northern Saints: Bede, Cuthbert and Godric.
The play was commissioned by Queens Hall Arts, produced by Jack Drum Arts and Mad Alice Theatre Company, and written by Julie Ward, inspired by the return of the Lindisfarne Gospels to the North East. More than 150 students in Years 4, 5 and 6 from Chilton Primary School, Heighington Primary School and Byerly Park Primary School joined us on Friday 13th September for this fantastic performance which was enjoyed by all!
Greenfield Arts will be hosting another great live performance in October as part of Family Learning Month, “My Granny’s a Pirate” is suitable for children ages 6 and under and their parents, part of a programme of live performances we have planned for the coming months.
