A former ROC Solid resident gives back to the charity that helped him. Zoltan, who’s currently residing in County Durham, was previously supported by ROC Solid after experiencing a traumatic event in his life.
The award-winning supported housing charity has its roots in safeguarding and provides support to people with a range of vulnerabilities in County Durham and Teesside.
Zoltan, the previous resident, donated £1000 towards ROC Solid to pay for their support activities.
Zoltan originally accessed the service looking for housing and support after being involved in a traumatic situation. Through receiving housing and support, Zoltan regained his confidence and now lives independently, no longer requiring the service.
He said: “I went through an incredibly hard time and I could not have got to where I am now without the help of ROC Solid.”
Zoltan returned to ROC Solid recently to surprise them with the kind donation. He is just one of the many success stories at ROC Solid.
Mandy Shaw, ROC Solid Service Manager, said: “His progress has been incredible. He has been an unproblematic resident and it has been an absolute pleasure working with him and supporting him through his journey.”
The organisation welcomes donations and is also currently recruiting, you can find more information on their website:
