Newton Aycliffe based charity DISC has expanded its successful More Time Furniture social enterprise scheme into a new store in Bishop Auckland.
More Time Furniture has an existing outlet in the DISC building next to the Newton News offices near the Blue Bridge. But it has now opened a new outlet inside the Prince Bishops Store on Finkle Street, Bishop Auckland.
The furniture outlet is a social enterprise owned by Newton Aycliffe-based community charity DISC, which seeks to improve the lives of disadvantaged people.
Liane Taylor, Assistant Director of Service Employment and Social enterprise, at DISC, said: “We are excited about the shop opening and to be able to provide this valuable service for the people of the town.”
