This weekend saw most of our teams competing in the TJFA League Cup. On a bright weekend the Oakleaf playing fields were awash of Blue and Yellow strips. U10 Falcons 4 vs 0 Hartlepool Youth Whites. League cup 1st round. Today the Falcons  welcomed Hartlepool Youth Whites in the league cup. We challenged the players to pass the ball and attempt to play good passing combinations throughout the team. During the match we saw a strong performance with all the players linking up well to create plenty of chances which was pleasing to see. All the goals came in the first half with two from Aiden-Lee Peacock and also 2 for Dylan Stewart. Well done everyone plus a clean sheet again for Ryan Johnson. Man of the Match, Louis Parnaby. U13’s Eagles 9 – 3 Richmond Town Blues. Great squad performance this morning against a team from a lower division. Each and every one of the Eagles played their part in today’s good result. Some very good goals from Joe Halford x3, Kian Cook x2, Adam Lowe x1, Dylan Bowater x1, Rhys Wilkinson x1 and Jack Fleming X1. Man of the match was Joe Halford U14 Falcons 6-3 Seaton Carew We entertained a physical team in the League Cup today who are in a higher division than ourselves and we went into game as the underdogs. A fantastic Falcons first half was the difference between the teams as we opened the scoring with just 3 mins gone and highlights included Charlie scoring a sensational goal from the just inside the half way line which is a major goal of the season contender! Goal scorers: Adam Askew x3, Charlie Hirst, Reece Hayes and Cameron Cook. Fantastic performances in both halves earned joint MOM award for James Imiela and Joe Armstrong. Very strong Cup Fever Hits Youthy performance from the 16 lads involved today and we progress into the next round. Darlington TSC 4-4 Under 15s What a roller coaster of a game today we started well in a very tight game. Aycliffe managed to take the lead through a superb finish. With the game still very tight we had a few good chances and failed to take them only to see the opposition equalise with the last kick of the half! Start of the second half Aycliffe were missing in action with the opposition adding a further 3 goals with the score at 4-1 we looked deflated and totally out of the game. Into the last 20 minutes Aycliffe grabbed a goal heads lifted and we started playing again we quickly got back to 4 each and it looked like only one team was going to win it into the last seconds and after a goal mouth scramble we struck the cross bar . Well done for not totally giving up and it just shows it’s never over till it’s over. Thanks to Josh & Ben for playing in goal today. Goals:  K Todd, A Dixon, J Kennedy and J Hind.
