Christmas is going to be particularly challenging for many families this year due to the pandemic. The Christmas Story of how the innkeeper welcomes Mary and Joseph into his stable, when there was no where else for them to go, inspires us as a church to reach out to those in need.

The Salvation Army wants to make sure that no child in our area goes without a gift this Christmas. Can you help us by donating a new toy or non perishable food for a Christmas Hamper for families in need?

Due to lockdown Sanctuary 21 is only open for emergency support of our vulnerable guests, however, please contact Darryn via email on darryn.hook@salvationarmy.org.uk to arrange collection of any donations. If you would prefer to make a monetary donation you can do so via our Just Giving page.

Each gift will help us to make Christmas special for those who may otherwise endure a bleak festive season. The Christmas Present Appeal focuses on the local community and all donations you provide will directly benefit those in need in the County Durham area. Details below give gift ideas for children and young people.
