Samwon’s Managing Director, Gary Quickfall, came to the urgent rescue of Aycliffe’s “Helping Hands” charity last week.
He accepted a delivery of pallets of food at his factory at Northfield Way ready for volunteers to pack for a project helping needy families in our community.
Great Aycliffe Community Aid Partnership made the request and Gary without hesitation said he was happy to assist.
One of the problems of obtaining the food is finding the right premises to offload large pallets at this end and moves are afoot to provide a permanent facility.
The Helping Hands team would like to thank Samwon for stepping in and allowing them to store excellent quality food that was donated. Alwyn White says ‘Without Samwon we would not have been able to accept this wonderful donation, they truly have helped us out. The pallets of food will be made up into packs for the 100 people we are taking on self-catering holiday this year.
We are really excited how all good things are coming together as we push on to support more people in our community.”
