Hebburn Involve 3 v U14 Eagles 3 – Early start away v a team second in the league. It was always going to be a tough game but the boys stepped up to the challenge. A fantastic performance by all of The Eagles to share the points. Goals: Adam x 2 and Liam. MOTM: Adam.
U16 Girls 1 v Redcar Town 6 – Aycliffe started the game in control with great passing play that created chances to score. Caught on the counter, Redcar scored. After conceding 2 goals they were back on the attack and scored. Attempts kept coming but we couldn’t increase the score. Redcar took advantage of some weak spots and pushed ahead, to score 6 in total.
U9 Eagles v Billingham – Aycliffe had a very entertaining game against Billingham with both teams passing the ball well through midfield. Adam L, George H and Sam G were solid at the back and Harry M in goal made some great brave saves. Billingham scored late on in the game but Aycliffe kept creating chances but were unlucky not to make the break through.
CLS Diablos v U11 Wildcats – Today was a tough first half for the girls, with the opposition being a little more physical than us at the start. We battled away but fell to 3-0 down at half time. After HT Aycliffe went out and were more physical, moved the ball a little quicker and created chances. It was a much improved performance but even when we were on top their keeper kept our shots out.
CLS Amazons 0 v U14 Girls 7 – The girls are playing some fantastic football at the moment from back to front, the quick passing and releasing of the ball meant the Amazons were stuck in their own half for most of the game. POTM: Chloe C.
U12 Girls 7 v NSG Lionesses 0 – The girls got off to a flying start with Eva sending a perfectly weighted pass for Peyton to score within 15 seconds of kickoff. She followed that with a further 3 goals before HT. At half time Maddi V came out of goal and into centre midfield and scored her first ever competitive goal and was followed by Jasmine scoring her first. With 10 minutes left to go, Peyton rounded off an outstanding team performance.
Coaches Star Player: Imogen. Players Star Player: Hannah. Special Mention: Maddi and Jasmine. Congratulations on your first competitive goals.
Ferryhill v U8 Eagles – A difficult game today against a very good Ferryhill side on a heavy muddy pitch. We knew the opposition would put us under pressure and the goal for the team today was to move the ball forward and play into spaces, bringing the good things from our training session. The team had some really positive moments and moved the ball forward well at times.
U10 Girls v Birtley Girls – Another well deserved win for the girls. First half goals from Poppy H and Emily C put the girls in control. An early 2nd half goal from Phoebe and great play for Poppy B to get her goal. Finally, a Poppy H cross into the box found Lily and Amelia, both stuck the ball into the back of the net. POTM: Poppy H. Thank you to our sponsor Greig Cavey Commercial, for sponsoring the girls new hoodies.
Beamish 1 v U13 Angels 6 – A really mature performance from the Angels. Scoring the only goal in a tight first half before going on to take control of the second half and make certain of the 3 points. Great performances all over the team. Goals from Charli, Sophie, an OG, Faith and 2 for Isobel. Star Players: Isobel and April.
U14 Girls (Sunday) 7 v Whickham Fellside 3 – The girls went 2-0 down within 5 minutes, but then turned things around to produce their best performance of the season. They calmly started to dominate the game scoring the next 7 goals before Whickham scored a consolation goal to end 7-3. Goals from Lana, Evie P, Eveie, Romilly (2) & Demi (2). Star Players with tied votes for Lana, Isobel & Freyja.
Bishop Auckland Kings 6 v U13 Boys 1 (County Cup) – The lads put in a tremendous performance against a team 4 divisions above us. A contentious penalty and 3 cheap goals meant the scoreline flattered Bishop. Oliver got a deserved goal, early in the second half, and we threatened to score more. Evan & Edward MOMs. HT 0-2. FT 1-6.
Bishop Auckland v U9 Wildcats – The girls pulled together and all played their part in a great game. Two goals from Sophie, both assisted by Millie in the first half. Big shout out to both Alice’s for volunteering to play in goal this week. Millie & Sophie POTMs.
