A full fixture programme for all 19 of our youth teams in the competitive leagues.
Shincliffe 0 v 7 U12 Girls
A brilliant start, scoring the first goal within 5 mins and were 4-0 up at HT. The girls continued to press the opposition throughout the second half, scoring 3 more goals to take the points. The win and clean sheet were a result of the hard work and effort of all 12 players. MOM Marley.
U12 Eagles 1 v 0 Hardwick
Aycliffe dominated in the first half and were unlucky not to score from open play with some fantastic attacks. Jack V was awarded a penalty which he stepped up and buried past the keeper. The second half and Hardwick attacked well but Aycliffe stood strong to take the 3 points. MOM Dylan.
U13 Angels 6 v 1 Stockton Town
Strong performance from the girls. A first half hat-trick for Romilly and a second half hat-trick for Faith sealed the win. Every player had a strong game with the midfield and defence (inc. GK) working hard. Players star: Charli. Coaches star: Daisy.
Leven 1 v 3 U13 Boys
The lads were rapidly out of the blocks in the 1st round of the League Cup. Scoring three in the first half, with 2 goals from Oliver and 1 from Charlie. Aycliffe took the foot off the gas in the second half, but Leven never really threatened a come back.
Rutherford 8 v 3 U13 Girls
A slow start, conceding 3 early goals. Pulled one back through Amy, 4-1 HT. Second half goals, another by Amy and one by Holly, reduced the arrears, not enough to get a result. POTM Macey.
Shotton Colts 3 v 1 U14 Eagles
Early kick off time and I think some of the lads were still asleep. Took a while to get in the game but it was too late. There was some good passing football and we had chances to win but it just didn’t happen. A great finish from Olly. MOM Zac.
U14 Girls 9 v 1 Hebburn
The girls started off where they finished last week. Controlled the game from the whistle. The girls are already showing what they are made of this season. With 3 brand new players the team are gelling well and everyone is looking forward to next week already. POTM – Ruby. Goals – Demi x3, Safiye x3, Amy, Faith & OG.
U14 Girls (Sunday) 2 v 1 Whickham Fellside
A fantastic game between two good sides. Both teams had chances but both keepers were on fine form. Whickham took the lead but Aycliffe responded immediately as Faith played in Romilly to draw us level. Faith then fired home the winner with our keeper, Layken, taking the assist. Players star: Tilly. Coaches star: Faith.
U16 Girls 13 v 2 Billingham
Aycliffe started well and took 10 minutes to open the scoring. 2-0 up and they conceded their first goal. Seven more for the girls before the opposition scored again. Then Aycliffe went on to an emphatic victory. Some great passing play, at times, carved a hole in the opposition defence but there are tougher challenges to come.
U18 Boys 3 v 3 Shildon
Shildon were 2-0 up at half time. Into the second half and Guy Barker ran through and chipped the keeper. Moments later, Calum Whitfield scored from the edge of the box to make it 2-2. Shildon then went 3-2 up with just 10 minutes to go. In one of the final acts of the game, the ball fell to George Tinkler on the edge of the box and he scored an incredible bicycle kick goal to make it 3-3.
U11 Wildcats v Hebburn Blues
A tough game against a very good side but the whole squad had plenty of time on the pitch as they prepare for next week.
Mixed results for mini soccer teams.
A great result for our new U8 Eagles at home to Barnard Castle, with 2 goals each for Rogan R and Thomas F. The U10 Girls had to settle for a draw v South Tyneside, with goals from Phoebe and Poppy H. Tough games for our new U7 Eagles away at Whinney Banks and our U9 Eagles at home v Redcar Town and our U9 Wildcats v Newcastle City Juniors.
