Dear Sir,

I am writing to inform Newton News readers of the Annual General Meeting of the Newton Aycliffe Fundraising Group for Marie Curie, which will take place on Thursday May 4 at Tesco Extra in the town at 6.30pm. This will be a joint celebration as the group celebrate their first year fundraising for Marie Curie. Members of the public are invited to hear about the fantastic work the Newton Aycliffe Fundraising Group have done in the past year, including a Blooming Great Tea Party, Ladies Night and their Great Daffodil Appeal.

Group members can make an enormous difference locally by helping to raise the vital funds needed to support Marie Curie Nurses, who provide free care to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses in their own homes. The Newton Aycliffe Fundraising Group organises fundraising activities and collections in the local community, encourages new volunteers to help the charity, as well as supports Marie Curie’s major fundraising campaigns. To join your local volunteer Fundraising Group for Marie Curie, or to find out more about the group and other ways to support the charity, please call or text Hayley Revell on 07711387976 or email hayley. revell@mariecurie.org.uk   Hayley Marie Curie Community Fundraiser for North East & Cumbria.
