Dance School “Stepping Out with Clare Walton” set off to the IFDC (International Freestyle Dance Challenge) Freestyle Olympics to compete as part of Team England in Blackpool last weekend.
One of their dancers Georgia Thelwell aged 9 qualified in fast and slow dance to represent Team England in their Elite Squad, as one of 12 dancers countrywide selected in her age group.
She flew the England flag well as she danced herself into both of the Finals earning valuable points for the team. The whole of Stepping Out did amazing bringing home:
12 Gold Wins – 3 x Georgia Thelwell, 1 x Hollie Mellanby, 4 x Sydney Etherington, 2 x Jessica Parsonage, 2 x Melodie McCourt.
2 Silver Runner Up – Lauren Moran x 1, Sydney Etherington x 1.
3 Bronze – Charlie Lough, Holly Sanderson, Jasmine Falconer plus 23 other Trophies in varying categories all earning valuable points for Team England

What a fabulous weekend had by all, and great achievements by talented children from the town whose success should be recognised and shared with all.
