This week saw the launch of the fifth Apprentice competition at Woodham Academy. The annual competition, run by Gestamp is based on the popular TV show. Like its namesake, the prize of ‘The Apprentice at Woodham Academy’ is also an apprenticeship.
The winner will join Gestamp’s new recruits in August and has the opportunity to continue his or her education to degree level whilst employed.
The competition consists of a series of challenges, designed to test out candidates’ skills.  The competition will culminate in a day of interviews at Gestamp with the trophy and a contract awarded before the GCSE examinations in May.
Woodham Academy headteacher, Christine Forsyth, says, “We are delighted that Gestamp are once again offering our students this exciting opportunity.  Choosing a winner will be no easy task.”
