The Wives Club, Neville Parade Methodist Church, Newton Aycliffe want to say a big thank you to Honest John. When told about the club which has been running since 1958 and that they were planning a Christmas Lunch he wanted to help. He certainly did just that and gave us £500! We also would like to thank Dave, Andy and the staff at the Red Alligator, South Church where we all enjoyed our Christmas Lunch today, 5th December. The club meets on a Monday night, 7 – 9pm and ladies of all faiths are welcome.
Up to now this year we have had visits from John Elliott, Phil Wilson MP, speakers from Movement Disorder Durham, BACH Flower Remedies, Buddies Befriending Service and the Sedgefield Ladies Hand-bell Ringers with lots of other activities and outings. We are in the process of planning our next programme of activities which will re-commence on the first Monday in February 2017 and would be happy to see some new members.
