Tesco’s ‘Bags of Help’ community group voting has been refreshed. Votes are now open for the three new groups, running until to the 31st October. Bags of help is our exciting local community grant scheme, supported by Groundwork. Bags of help funds thousands of local projects across the UK, with our customers able to choose which receive funding (£4000, £2000 and £1000 available) by voting in store every time they shop. The three new groups are: 2nd Bishop Auckland scout group, Newton Aycliffe’s Sensory Processing Disorder Parent Support Group and Newton Aycliffe’s Veterans at Ease. It is great to see two local Aycliffe projects coming through. Community groups, charities, schools, clubs or organisations can apply for a grant at any time. Anyone can also make a nomination on a group’s behalf. This can be done and more found out by visiting www.tesco.com/ bagsofhelp. You can also speak to us in store about this scheme.
