The Pioneering Care Centre (PCC) can be found on Carer’s Way, Newton Aycliffe, DL5 4SF. Home to a variety of classes, activities and events, discover what’s on near you!
We have some brilliant groups such as:
• A Gardening Group – Every Monday,
10am to 11am – Free;
• A Book Club – First Monday of every month
1.30pm to 3pm – Free;
• A Befriending Group – Every Tuesday and
Thursday, 12.30pm to 2pm – Free;
• A Cycling Group – Every Monday and
Wednesday, 10am to 11.30am – Free;
• A Walking Group – Every Thursday,
10.30am to 11.30am – Free;
• Options Social Club for adults with learning
disabilities – Every Thursday, 6.30pm to
8.30pm, £4.00 per session, with funds
contributing to weekly activities, resources
and staffing.
Our Cycling Group for Beginners/Novice are Monday’s, 10am to 11.30am, enjoy this free cycling group, with equipment available to use.
Beginner riders are taken on a route up to 12-15 miles, with an average ride speed 8mph. Novice riders can expect a ride of up 20 miles with an average ride speed of 10mph.
Our Intermediate Cycle Group, every Wednesday, 10am-1.30pm, is tailored for those that can ride between 20-30 miles, with an average speed of up to 12mph. These rides are expected to take between three – three and a half hours, this includes a small stop for refreshments on-route.
Both classes are weather dependant, please arrive at the PCC for 9.45am.
