Great Aycliffe Cancer Support Group needs your help, the charity is in desperate need of volunteer drivers to take cancer patients to hospital for life saving treatment. As you know, Ambulance drivers are one of those groups who are on strike, we are receiving calls from hospital staff to pick cancer patients up to take them for their operations as they have no other way of getting the patient there.
Wednesdays and Fridays are the charities busiest day, even if it’s just temporary, whilst we have so many patients,
A cancer diagnosis is devastating – not just for the patient, but for family, friends and colleagues. The last thing they need is to worry about how they are going to get to the hospital.
