Dear Sir,
On 27th April 2025 Michael Fitzgerald with two friends, Eric Stapleton and Michael Brown, set off to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society. They took part in The Etape Loch Ness which is Scotland’s largest closed road cycling event. This is around the iconic Loch Ness, cycling 66 miles. The event must be completed within 5 hours 38 minutes. The stunning 360o route around the loch starts and finishes in the Highland capital of Inverness, The King of the Mountain stage features a 4.8-mile climb gaining 380 metres in height with a gradient reaching 12% at times.

Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding ground-breaking research.
