Two promising young Ice Hockey prospects from Newton Aycliffe are seeking sponsorship to help them with the next stages of their ice hockey journey. Finley Bradon and Gregor Mills, both 12, were this season named to the England National Team.

Their selection puts both firmly on the elite player pathway to possible future selection to the Great Britain Ice Hockey teams which start at Under 16 level.

Ice Hockey in Great Britain is currently enjoying its most successful time in nearly a quarter of a century with the GB senior team playing with the world’s elite teams such as Canada, Russia and Sweden.

In addition, a number of the junior GB teams have also won gold in their respective World Championships in 2018. It is certainly a sport on the rise.

Ice Hockey is however a sport that receives no central funding from UK Sport or Sport England. It is a sport that requires a huge commitment in time and finance from both the players and their parents.

At this stage of Finley’s and Gregor’s sporting journey they would love to partner with organisations or individuals who would like to play a part in that journey, however big or small, and who have a passion for contributing to the development of young athletes into winners, at the highest possible level in their sport.
