Our group is held every Tuesday at the Navy Club, Burnhill Way from 1.30pm until 4.30pm.
You have the opportunity to play darts, pool, quoits, curling as well as regular coach trips, bingo and much more.
Our group was started in 2008 and has held weekly meetings until the pandemic, when we had to close as happened to many groups. We returned to the Navy Club as soon as we were able. We are to start an activity group shortly to enable us to enjoy different activities and to this group non members will be welcome.
Activities will include 10 pin bowling, shopping trips and theatre visits. The first activity will be at Planet Leisure (off Durham Way reached by no.5 bus) 10 pin bowling on the first Thursday of every month from 11.00am, starting 3rd November, cost for seniors is £6.00, this includes two games and a cup of coffee, you can also have your lunch at a reasonable cost if you wish.
