Our special guest on Sunday’s show was David Clark from the Aycliffe and District Bus Preservation Society. Established in the 1980’s, the society has grown in size and reputation and recognised for its hard work and dedication through its prestigious museum accreditation status. They also work closely with many other museums in the region including Beamish Open Air Museum who use one of the societies vehicles for special events.
The society, based at Langton Business Centre, off Durham Way DL5 6BL, will be holding its Christmas Open Day on Saturday 2nd December from 10.30am ‘til 3.30pm.
Santa will be visiting between 2.30pm and 3.30pm, free shuttle service will be provided every hour from 10.30am onwards. One of our vintage buses will pickup from the bus stand opposite St. Clare’s Church. Free admission and free refreshments while stocks last. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
• All donations for the upkeep and running of the museum, will be gratefully accepted.
